If you've ever had to deal with weddings, then you know how expensive they can be. There are many great alternatives that can save you money and still look perfect for your big day!

Today I'm going to show you how to create a Wedding Boutonniere with just a few items.

Supply List for Wedding Boutonnieres:

- Paper or Fabric Flowers (Can make your own or buy them)

- Floral tape (Any color)

- Pins

- Flower buds (Whatever compliments your flower)

- Scissors

Optional:

- Needle nose pliers

1. I'll be using a comic book flower that I've created prior to this. Keep on the lookout for tutorial if you're interested in making your own paper flowers!

2. Pick up your flower. You want to make sure your stem is 9-12 inches long so that you can bend it in half. You can make it shorter depending on This will depend on how long you want your boutonniere. I wanted to create a curl so I kept mine on the longer side.

3. Once you have your stem bent in half (Good to use the needle nose pliers for this part for easier bending). You take the floral tape and slowly start wrapping it around your stem. I started in the middle since that's where it's the easiest starting point for me. You can start it anywhere that easiest for you. It might take a couple of tries to get it to stick so be patient.

4. So slowly wrap the tape around the stem at a slight curve and tightness so that you don't get the tape bubbles. You want your stem to be smooth. You want an equal layer throughout the whole stem.

5. Once you get a nice even layer and thickness that you want, you need to attach your flower buds to the flower. Make sure you put them in the place you want them and put a small piece of floral tape across to hold them down.

6. Put more floral tape around the flower bud stems and then the top part of the stem. You want a good thickness so you can put the pin through it nicely.

7. Next you can cut a piece of floral tape into a leave. (This step is optional. You don't have to have leaves. Just a different decorative option if you choose.) Stick them onto the stem near the flower, then add floral tape around them.

And your done with your boutonniere! You can add whatever personal touches you choose to make it your own.
