There is always a fad in the fiber arts world. It leaves as fast as it comes in. There are times where this fad lasts long enough for one to actually complete the project, only to move on to another one before you have sewn your ends in. There are times when the artists try to guess what the next one will be so they can have a bit of a stockpile ready to go, just in case. This fad is not the case. It came in over night and still hasn't left. (I can't say I blame anyone, it is REALLY cute!!) This is one of the few that I hopped on board and went ahead and purchased a pattern. I am so glad I did. This baby is so fuzzy!! I may or may not (*cough* I will *cough*) make one for myself. It is sweet and whimsical and extremely soft and plushy. This would be great to curl up under with a good book and a big cup of coffee!! MJ's Off the Hook Designs always has extremely well written patterns and are well worth the purchase price (link to pattern at bottom of page). If you are interested in making one of the these bad boys, she did make a pattern for child and adult sized blankets!! If you are interested in one but have no desire to sit under this amount of yarn while working on it, let us know. We would love to do it for you! The blanket itself is fairly time consuming to work up, but once that part is completed, the rest is a cinch. Don't forget to keep an eye on the giveaway tab! There could be something "owl"fully cute coming up!!

On a side note, when working with yarn, always make sure you have to same dye lot. Or if your husband is going out to get the yarn for you make sure he checks the dye lot as well. Otherwise you end up with a stripe that is just a bit lighter or a bit darker than the rest of your project...
